After spending some time exploring Milton, then opening our office here, I would encourage buyers
looking for single family homes, to think Milton. Buyers coming from Boston, that are looking for
walkable amenities , back yard space , close proximity to Boston , a variety of choices when it comes to
an evening out and great dog parks then I would suggest looking to either East Milton Square or Milton
Village, for their home. The two areas I want to talk about with you each have their own unique identity
First let’s look at East Milton Square which has a lot to offer a buyer, from amazing eateries, such as
Abbey Park, Sushi, to coffee houses, to Milton market. This market is worth taking some time to talking
about, a well kept secret, the place is similar to Trader Joe’s but one step up, they have everything you
need. A great wine selection with helpful knowledgeable staff , a bakery, a meat department and yes a
Fish market that rivals most . They also pride themselves in carry as much local products as possible, so
take some time to search out Milton market. And if you’re a dog owner like myself then you’ll love my
favorite dog park Cummingham Park, all of this within a very short drive to Boston, and even quicker to
93 North or South. If you’re a parent with school age children then Milton is another reason for you,
some of the best schools in the area, are located right here.
The second area is located right near our office Milton Village also a walkable area. If you rely on public
transportation then this are of Milton might be perfect. Your steps to the Milton Trolley three stops and
there you are the Red line at Ashmont station, bringing you downtown in no time. The Village is across
the bridge from all that Lower Mills ( Boston ) has to offer. Such as a recently remodeled supermarket
Shaw’s , a great family run ice cream shop, several bars, coffee houses, a new burger joint Bred, a Pizza
house, Thai food, a bakery / sandwich shop, a dog emporium that also offers dog walking services. Then
in Milton Village itself you have some great places to eat, 88 Wharf right across from our office, Steel &
Rye, a lunch establishment, hair salon’s , a hardware store and so much more.
Both areas while different in their own right are also a short drive or an easy bike ride from one another.
So no matter which of these area’s you may decide on you can easily explore and enjoy what the other
has to offer. And if you’re an outdoor enthusiast then just down the road you have many different trail
heads, all of which are part of the vast Blue Hills, hiking and or mountain bike are all just minutes away.
Hopefully this will get you thinking about Milton. If you’re searching for a home than take a look at what
Milton has to offer, then stop by our office so we can show you what this area is all about.
